"Don't miss this Poschiavo dining experience! The restaurant at the hotel I stayed in didn't have any vegetarian options for me. That's when Risturant al Bernina saved the evening! Right when I entered, I was warmly welcomed by the wonderful Sheila. She spoke English well and understood the few Italian phrases I offered. The vegetarian lasagna was delicious along with the patate fritte. The cannolo Siciliano was a perfect ending to the meal. The staff was kind to surprise me with a candle on the cannolo and wish me a happy birthday. Grazie mille Sheila and Marco for your hospitality to go with the tasty food! "Some friends and I arrived in Poschiavo on trek from Thusis to Tirano. We walked in the center of town to find a market and lots of restaurants. It was too crowded and too noisy. We luckily stumbled on Risturant al Bernina. It has a lovely, quiet patio. The menu is extensive but we all ordered from their very large selection of pizzas forgoing other options of traditional Italian dishes. Our waitress Elena spoke excellent English and was very helpful. The pizzas were very large. I was positive I would not be able to finish it. The combination of hiking 20km in the mountains and the quality of the pizza enabled me to eat the entire pizza. In fact, I had dessert. Elena explained to me how to eat the Sicilian cannelloni so I would not make a rookie tourist mistake and upset the chef. (Apparently upset Sicilians can be dangerous :). If you stumble into Poschiavo like I did or arrive by easier methods you should definitely visit this delightful restaurant and if you’re very lucky, Elena will serve you."

"Very nice and cozy restaurant in the city center. We had pizza , and we recommend it. In terms of costs, 2 pizzas, 2 glasses of wine and a bottle of water was 58 CHF, very decent for the Swiss alps area. Also the service was really joyful and eager to help and recommend from the menu."
